APO-SYS intranet website User Guide.

The goal of the APO-SYS intranet website is to establish a platform on which exchange of private documents and data is straightforward.

 1. Structure of the site:
The site is structured in sections, divided in categories. There are two sections (Main Menu):

  • the WorkPackages section is divided in 18 workpackages categories, which should be used by the partner for any exchange related to a given workpackage.
  • The Software section lists the softwares that are developed by the modelling groups.

New sections and categories may be added upon request.

The site comprises also a Depository for the files you wish to share (Share data).

 2. How to log in?
 Go to http://apo-sys.curie.fr/
- Type in your username (the standard format will be the first letter of your first name followed by your last name without space and in small captions).
- Type in your password. To change your password, go to “About me” below the “Logout” button on the upper left of the screen and modify your password.

3. Edit a new article
Click on “Edit a new article” below the “Logout” button.
EDITOR: An editor appears. Fill in the title and the text you wish to add.
PUBLISHING: Once your article is written, you need to specify its location. For that, you will choose the appropriate options in the “Publishing” frame below that of the “Editor”.
Among the sections, you will specify either “Workpackages” or “Softwares”. If you choose “Workpackages” (as a category), you will be able to select the workpackage in which you want your article to appear.
If you choose “Softwares, a list of the different software packages appears.
New sections and categories may be added upon request.

By default, the article will be published but will not appear on the front page.

METADATA: you can add a brief description of your article and a list of keywords or phrases separated by commas. This will help the users find articles corresponding to a specific subject via the search engine (top right of the window).
Another possibility is to go directly to the section and category of interest and click on the icon. Then you will follow the same process as described above.

4.    Upload and download data
The “repository” works as a file repository. It contains 3 different files:
- Meetings
- Publications. Also divided in two folders: Apo-Sys Project and General.
- Workshops. So far two workshops were organized: one at EBI and the other one at Institut Curie. Each organizer is responsible for adding files.

To upload a file, click on the icon “Submit file” at the bottom right of your screen.
You will need to browse and find the file located in your computer. You can also give the address of a URL where your file is located. You may add a text to accompany your data and choose an icon that corresponds to the type of files you have just added (ex: ppt, pdf, doc, etc.). Then click on the “Submit file” button.

To download a file, go to the corresponding folder to find the file you wish to access. Click on it. A more detailed description will be available. To download it, you will need to click on the “Download” button and either open it directly or save it on your computer.
